FANWALL TECHNOLOGY ® One of the most innovative and exciting new trends in air handling in the past few decades is to use a multiple fan array to move air versus traditional single or dual fans. HUNTAIR, Inc. was first to invent an "integrated" fan array solution with its FANWALL system and continues to be the industry leader in ongoing research and development to further refine its capabilities. ®.
Unlike other fan arrays available today, a FANWALL system is more than off-the-shelf fans and motors arranged in an array. It incorporates FANWALL TECHNOLOGY-innovated and manufactured specifically for fan array systems-to create an integrated system of state-of-the-art fans, motors, cabinetry, controls, and accessories.
These components have been successfully blended to match new construction and retrofit application requirements, while providing the benefits of:
- Redundancy
- Quiet and vibration-free operation
- Optimized energy efficiency from design minimum to maximum flow
- Low cost maintenance and service
Since 2003, more than 40,000 FANWALL cubes have been installed and are successfully moving over 250 million cfm throughout the world.

Mini Cabinet Fan has been designed to include the features most often desired by contactors, designers and owners. The compact design of the MCF allows for installation in ceiling spaces which cannot be served with larger central station units, and is available with options normally found only in custom manufactured equipment. The zoning flexibility offered by the MCF unit enables the designer to easily engineer systems for institutional and commercial applications. Modular design of the MCF allows the designer to construct the unit for the application required.
Features:
- UL listed
- Sizes from 150 CFM to 9500 CFM
- “Push-pull” arrangement available for economizer systems
- 1”, 2’ or 4” insulation thickness available
- All configurations of horizontal and vertical arrangements
- Bottom access to all components available
- Solid or perforated inner lining available
- Twin fan – low profile units available
- Optional “swing-down” fan/motor assembly
- Weatherized units for curb mounting available

HRU’s are available in 9 basic sizes, ranging in capacity from 2,500 to 22,000 CFM combined exhaust and supply volumes. Each unit is engineered and equipped to suit the specific operating conditions of each individual project. Other custom sizes are available for up to 100,000 CFM with heating and/or cooling capacities appropriate for an applications. Units may be configured with a variety of outside air, return air, and supply air damper options. Multiple options of fan type, style, and discharge arrangements are available with inlet vanes, discharge dampers, or variable frequency drives for fan volume control.
The HRU can:
- Save a large portion of the cost of energy needed to temper make-air during the winter months
- Pay back original cost of the HRU in two to five years
- Provide a significant return on differential costs vs. conventional MUA systems
- Minimize demand charges by utilities
Features:
- All welded heavy-duty structural channel iron frame with lifting brackets
- Rigid galvanized panel type construction
- Exterior painted with gray enamel
